Norway's central bank, the Norges Bank, maintained its key monetary policy rate unchanged at 2.00% balancing the risk of rising consumer and house price inflation against the risk of a rising Kroner. Norway recorded inflation (as measured by the consumer price index) of 2.8% in December; higher than the 1.9% figure in November and the official inflation target of 2.5%.
