The Bank of Botswana cut its rate in February by 100 basis points, citing an economic outlook and inflation forecast that provided scope to ease its monetary policy stance.
Botswana's consumer price inflation rate eased to 2.82 percent in February from 3.6 percent the prior month, the sixth consecutive month of declining inflation despite a 5 percent increase in the alcohol levy in December.
